Our Story
Co-Founder
Marissa DeParto
Somatic Mobility Coach
Former collegiate soccer player and San Diego-based somatic mobility coach, Marissa DeParto has spent more than a decade helping people move more freely, reduce tension, and build a deeper understanding of their bodies. Her work blends corrective exercise, mobility, intentional compression, and somatic practices to help people reconnect with themselves and build a lifelong relationship with recovery.
BoBlocks was born from her own recovery journey. After 15 years of competitive soccer, Marissa spent five years overcoming chronic pain that persisted long after her playing career ended. In 2020, she discovered the profound impact of a daily fascial release practice and committed to it every day for the next six years. That experience transformed not only how she moved, but how she understood recovery.
She believed the practice that changed her life should be simple enough for anyone to use, anywhere, every day. That belief became the foundation of BoBlocks.
Today, Marissa is on a mission to make recovery more accessible by teaching a practice people can use anywhere and carry with them for life.
